<p><strong>The next Fresh Prep Institute workshop will be held on June 6th, 2013 @ The NYC Transfer School Educators Conference</strong></p>
<p><strong>Fresh Prep: It’s bigger than Hip Hop</strong><br />
(Facilitated by: Meri Yallowitz, Principal, Metropolitan Diploma Plus HS, Michael Wiggins, Fresh Prep Program Manager)<br />
In this session,  teachers working to prepare young people for the Regents Exam in U.S. and Global History will discover ways to harness aspects of Hip Hop and youth culture to create more positive teacher student relationships, increase levels of student engagement, and improve academic outcomes for struggling students.</p>

Participating teachers discover how to increase levels of student engagement by bringing elements of youth culture and progressive teaching practice into the classroom.</p>
